Science
Lately I've been thinking about solar power. I did a little investigating to see how much it would cost/pay to have a few solar panels mounted over the deck.

ScienceSome time ago I watched a program on the Discover channel about a project where they created a very strong electromagnetic field and were able to levitate various object inside the field, including a frog.

Here's a couple of links to something about that -->

Radioactive decay

  View Printable Version
Science I don't think radioactive decay works the way people say it does. Everyone seems to think it comes from within, and that doesn't make sense to me. (Based on my concept of gravity and force).

I don't believe anything is truely random - including decay. If one thing in the universe is truely random, then all things cannot be known. Since God knows all things, nothing is random.

Don't let that confuse you; there is still free will. It's just that the past and the future (both of which are the same) are already done and cannot be changed. Only the present can be changed. But I digress....

How does light move?

  View Printable Version
ScienceI had a realization this morning. Light moves in the same way as electricity.

I was thinking about how light behaves, why it moves as a wave sometimes and a particle at others. I was thinking, if I was traveling at the speed of light could I turn and change directions?

And at the same time I was thinking how does light propagate? And then I realized it doesn't. It travels just like electricity. It's simply changing the state of some ether we don't know about in the same way electrons excite other electrons.

Science Trigonometry without sin and cos? This book looks very interesting...

It makes you think. Want about tan? Why did he get left out? Will he get to come next time? What else will this apply to?
