I've slowly been working on the picture section here. After the disk failure on the old server I figured I should take advantage of it such that I could and use it as a push to reorganize the mass of pictures I have here.

I had a realization this morning. Light moves in the same way as electricity.
I was thinking about how light behaves, why it moves as a wave sometimes and a particle at others. I was thinking, if I was traveling at the speed of light could I turn and change directions?
And at the same time I was thinking how does light propagate? And then I realized it doesn't. It travels just like electricity. It's simply changing the state of some ether we don't know about in the same way electrons excite other electrons.

Spam email is a real problem today. What can you do about it?
Trying to opt out never works. That just lets the spammer know they have found a real address and you don't want to do that. You do have a couple of options. The best option I've found is to use white lists and black lists but not everyone can do that. If you often get emails from people you don't know and you don't want to miss any of these then using a white list will not be a good solution for you.

I went rock climbing tonight for the first time in several months. When I was in Seattle I was going on a regular basis. I was getting pretty good. Or, at least I was getting decent.
Either way, I was better than my climbing partner Carlos.
After getting a call from Carlos a couple of weeks ago I knew I had to do something. Carlos has been at it and is now better than I am. I can't allow that. So, tonight I began my task of overtaking Carlosita.
