I've found that at our standard games most people don't like having to ante. People also like to start with more chips. Taking those things into account, and trying to balance out the game here is the new structure.

A few weeks ago my girlfriend wanted us to make pizza from scratch. She thought it'd be fun. It wasn't anything I haven't heard before but this time I was into it.
I've been playing around with making climbing holds again. Every time I make holds I get better at it. There are a lot of little things that make big differences.

I'm now involved in a new project which will take most of my time. The project is classified but I can say I'll be using a lot of my experience in artificial intelligence, Perl, Java, and perhaps even some C. This should be interesting...

Since getting TiVo
a year ago I've enjoyed watching practically nothing but non-live tv. It's a nice change in paradigm. It is of course the natural evolution of tv.
Recently I decided to add a tv to the bedroom. At the same time I restarted my netflix subscription. So, all things being Kyle I thought it'd be nice to rip dvds so I could watch them at my leisure. Naturally I thought I would want to ftp them to my Tivo box. Which of course meant that I'd need to hack my Tivo.
I'm using dvd::rip version 0.98.1 to rip DVDs on Mandriva 2007 Official. There is a problem where dvdrip can hang during the grab preview process. When you select "grab frame" it runs for some period and appears to be working but then just hangs.

TournamentRank.com is now operational. I had planned on using it last year to record all of our hold'em poker stats and records but unfortunately it took longer to code than I had time for.
This year all of our poker results will be posted on TournamentRank.com(and not here). Aside from the results being posted quicker I'm also working on some nice features that you'll learn all about as I complete them.
The first feature is that I'll be able to update the results and the website from my N91 during and after the tournaments! This one is completed and I'll be testing it during this weekend's tournament.
I expect within the month of Feb we'll all be able to look at charts showing our progress.
