It's been building for a while now - I finally got a dog. I've wanted to get a dog for a long time but until now I've been able to use reason and logic to put off getting a dog until I had a job which required less travel.

Here are some pictures taken last week at the Brshy Creek Ranch. They show more of the road than I've posted in previous pictures. It's nice to be able to drive most of the way down now.

This invention is an obvious result of my latest interaction with the pigs. I talked to a guy who's a hog trapping expert about my pigs. He wants to trap them...

I've only seen a few coyotes in my life. Most of them were either dead, or about to be dead.
If I was a nature photographer and I took this picture I'd be proud of it. Okay, well it is a little overexposed on the right side of his body but that could be fixed in the editing room.
When I put out the game camera I really never expected to see so much wildlife!

After going through an extensive search for the best game camera for the buck I finally picked one that I thought would suite my needs.
The major features I wanted was one that had very high resolution pictures, could be powered by an external 12v power supply, and one that used a memory card that I could easily swap out in the field.
I ended up getting the wildview 5. Although the pictures I've posted here were taken with the wildview 5 game camera please note that it does not print the ranch name on the pictures. I used a perl-gimp script.
